“Fahriye Evcen Makes a Grand Comeback After 4 Years! Set to Lead ‘Uğultulu Tepeler’ as Nehir”

Fahriye Evcen Returns After Four Years With ‘Uğultulu Tepeler’ — Offered the Leading Role of Nehir

After the cancellation of the series Afet Bambaşka Biri, Turkish television is buzzing with new developments surrounding beloved actress Fahriye Evcen. According to Birsen Altuntaş, Evcen has received a major offer from Bozdağ Film to star in their upcoming ambitious project, Uğultulu Tepeler.

This marks her long-awaited return to the screen since her last appearance in Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu back in 2021.

A Bold Adaptation of Emily Brontë’s Masterpiece

The new series is an adaptation of Emily Brontë’s timeless classic “Wuthering Heights.”
Bozdağ Film is currently reviewing scripts and negotiating with two major broadcasters. If everything proceeds smoothly, filming is scheduled to begin in mid-January.

Director Cemal Şan is expected to helm the project, while two possible versions are being developed — one set in a historical period and another in modern times.

Evcen has reportedly been offered the role of Nehir, the series’ equivalent of Catherine Earnshaw.

A Story of Forbidden Love and Consuming Revenge

The original story follows Heathcliff, an orphan taken in by a wealthy family, who grows up harboring a deep and burning love for Catherine (Nehir). When his love remains unanswered, Heathcliff spends years plotting a dark and destructive revenge.

With its dramatic themes of passion, betrayal, obsession, and vengeance, the adaptation is expected to generate major excitement among viewers.
