Can Yaman’s Sandokan Pride: New Series Shines as Actor Films in Spain

Can Yaman is enjoying one of the most successful periods of his international career. His high-budget period drama Sandokan, the project for which he moved to Italy years ago, finally meets viewers tonight.
The Italian state broadcaster Rai1 will air the first two episodes back-to-back this evening.
The 8-episode series will continue throughout December, with two new episodes airing every Monday night.
Beyond Italy, Sandokan will also be broadcast in the United States, Canada, Portugal, Russia, and the United Kingdom — marking a major global rollout.
Can Yaman Filming a New Spanish Series

While Sandokan prepares for its debut, Can Yaman is currently filming a new Spanish production in the Canary Islands titled “El Laberinto de las Mariposas” (The Butterfly Labyrinth).
In this romantic–thriller series, directed by Alberto Ruiz Rojo and Iñaki Peñafiel, Yaman plays a secret agent known by the codename “Kaplan” (The Tiger).
Written by Ángela Obón and Daniel Corpas, the 8-episode project is being filmed in the Canary Islands and Madrid, with production expected to wrap in April.
Yaman stars alongside María de Nati, Andrea Duro, Félix Gómez, Noa Rollón, Michelle Calvo, and Leander Vyvey.
Spain’s Most Wanted Agent
Kaplan is a flawless undercover operative whose life turns upside down when he is betrayed and becomes Spain’s most wanted man.
While trying to clear his name and expose those behind a multimillion-euro theft from the state treasury, he also faces emotional and romantic challenges that test him deeply.
Future Projects: Two More Seasons of Sandokan
Following the completion of the Spanish series, Can Yaman will return to the world of Sandokan:
-
🎬 Summer 2026 — Sandokan Season 2
-
🎬 After that — a sitcom project and a South American feature film
-
🎬 2028 — Sandokan Season 3
Can Yaman appears to have a packed international schedule ahead, strengthening his status as one of the most global Turkish actors of his generation.
