Omur Usta Continues as Planned: Gonca Vuslateri Officially Joins the Project
Preparations are moving full speed ahead for the highly anticipated new series Omur Usta, produced by Ay Yapım for NOW TV.

While several television projects scheduled for the beginning of the year have been postponed or canceled due to rising production costs, Omur Usta remains firmly on track. The series, led by acclaimed actress Nurgül Yeşilçay, is set to begin filming in January, exactly as originally planned.
The project has now received a major boost with the addition of Gonca Vuslateri, one of the most respected and versatile actresses in Turkish television and theater. Vuslateri has officially signed on to the series and will portray Nevre, the mother of a wealthy family.
Nevre is also the daughter of the main character Omur Usta, played by Nurgül Yeşilçay — a woman who, despite her difficult life, continues to live in a poor neighborhood, refusing to abandon her roots.
The strong cast, combined with Ay Yapım’s production quality, has already drawn significant attention from viewers. With Gonca Vuslateri joining the ensemble, expectations for Omur Usta have risen even higher, positioning the series as a potential standout project of 2025.
