“The Journey of Ozan Akbaba – From Village Life to Leading Roles”

Born in 1982 in Kars, Ozan Akbaba spent his childhood in the village of Benli Ahmet until his family moved to Izmir due to his father’s job.

He completed high school in mechanical engineering, but his passion for art led him to study interior architecture. However, acting turned out to be his greatest love.

Early in his career, he received mentorship from Professor Halil Çiçek and took his first steps by making short films and writing screenplays.

He soon moved to Istanbul, where he gained attention with his role in the TV series Kuzey Güney. He rose to fame by playing İlyas in the long-running series Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz.

Today, he captivates audiences as the lead in the series Uzak Şehir, portraying Cihan – a man torn between tradition and the modern world.

His compelling performance, along with the work of director Ahmet Katıksız and the creative team, has contributed to the show’s high viewership and positive audience feedback.
